Pre tournament favorite the Warren Central Dragons continued their run thru the UK Healthcare Boy’s Sweet 16 with a 56-48 win over the Woodford County Yellow Jackets. Warren Central held the lead thru the first 3 quarters, but Woodford County was able to get some looks inside and take their first lead at the 7:41 mark of the third quarter at 37-35. But it would be short lived as the Dragons would out score the Yellow Jackets 21-9 the rest of the game to advance to the championship tilt.
Warren Central, who Improves to 35-1, featured a balanced scoring attack lead by Chappelle Whitney with 18 points. Kade Unseld added 17 and Damarion Walkup finished with 16.
Woodford County was lead in scoring by Aden Johnsohn with 11 while Jasper Nelson was held to just 10 points. Woodford ends the year at 22-13.
