Team Records and Series Notes• UK improved to 137-12 all-time in exhibition games, including 3-0 vs. Georgetown College.• In official games, UK leads the Georgetown series 35-15, but the teams haven’t played in a game that’s counted since December 1938.  • Kentucky has won its last 16 exhibition games dating back to Nov. 2, 2014, vs. Pikeville. The last loss was Aug. 17, 2014, vs. the Dominican Republic in the final game of the 2014 Big Blue Bahamas exhibition tour. • UK is 34-1 in exhibition play under Coach John Calipari.• The Wildcats will play another exhibition game, on Friday vs. Kentucky State at 7 p.m. on SEC Network, before beginning regular-season play. • The Wildcats begin the 2019-20 regular season vs. No. 1/1 Michigan State on Nov. 5 at Madison Square Garden in New York as a part of the State Farm Champions Classic. It will mark the Wildcats’ ninth all-time 1-2 matchup. UK is 4-4 in such games. • Sunday night’s matchup had more ties than just proximity (Georgetown is just north of Lexington). Georgetown College head coach Chris Briggs, who is entering his ninth season at the helm, was a student manager at UK from 2001 to 2004 and elevated to a graduate assistant in 2004 until 2006. His wife, Elizabeth, works for the UK athletics department as an assistant athletic director for premium seating, hospitality and events.• Georgetown College is coming off an NAIA national championship 

In the First Half• Kentucky used the combination of Ashton Hagans, Immanuel Quickley, Keion Brooks Jr., EJ Montgomery and Nick Richards to start the game• UK imposed its will from the jump with an 11-0 run. Quickley, who had a tremendous offseason, scored seven of the points, including two 3-pointers.• Kentucky kept Georgetown College of the scoreboard until Chris Coffey made a putback at the 16:08 mark. The Tigers missed their first nine shots.• The Wildcats made eight of their first 10 shots en route to a 25-7 lead. • Quickley scored 12 of those points, going 3 of 3 from the floor – all 3-pointers.• Kentucky stretched the lead to 27 points at 40-13.• Georgetown had a 12-0 surge late in the half before Nate Sestina hit a 3-pointer to make the halftime score 43-25.  

In the Second Half• Kentucky started the second half with Hagans, Montgomery, Richards, Tyrese Maxey and Kahlil Whitney• Richards began the half with a jump hook in the lane, but at the 19:03 mark he sustained an injury to his lower left legand did not return to the game.• Georgetown put together an 8-0 spurt, coming within 45-33; however, Hagans hit a 3-pointer and driving layup to blunt the rally, beginning a 12-0 UK run to make it 57-33.• Kentucky had its largest lead at 29 points, 80-51, before finishing with the 80-53 victory.


Team Notes• Kentucky limited Georgetown College to 25% shooting.  • Will Ohmer paced the visitors with 25 points, including 8-of-16 shooting. The remainder of the Tigers made just 8 of 48 shots, 16.7%. • UK made 49.2% of its shots, including 40.9% (9 of 22) from 3-point range.• Four Wildcats scored in double figures and eight Cats scored at least five points. 

Player Notes  • Ashton Hagans tallied 14 points and had game highs with six assists and four steals.  • Immanuel Quickley led the Wildcats with 16 points, which would have bested his career high of 15 had this been an official game. Three 3-pointers also tied his career high.• Nate Sestina notched a double-double with 11 points and 10rebounds. • Tyrese Maxey notched 14 points and chipped in three assists and two steals.
