Lexington, KY – It was Senior Day at Memorial Coliseum Saturday and No 13 Kentucky Volleyball celebrated by capturing its third straight regular season SEC title. The Cats were just too much in sweeping Ole Miss 3-0 in front of a supportive crowd who were on hand to watch the Cats three-peat. It was Kentucky’s seventh regular season championship overall.

UK’s Leah Edmond showed why she’s been named SEC player of the year by recording 13 kills, along with 10 digs. Fellow teammate Madison Lilley had 38 assists out of the teams 44 assists total. Sophomore standout Alli Stumier had 11 kills to go along with her 5 digs.

But it was Edmond who led the Cats and was dominant against Old Miss throughout the entire match. The Cats won (25-21, 25-20, 25-13) to finish the regular season 23-6, 16-2 in SEC play and secured an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Old Miss finished the season at 14-15 and 6-12 in league play.

The Cats will learn their fate in the 64 team championship when NCAA reveals the brackets Sunday night.
