SEC Basketball Players of the Week (1/6/20)

SEC Player of the Week – Auburn guard J’Von McCormick, a 6-foot, 185-pound senior from New Orleans, La., had 28 points four rebounds, four assists and two steals in a win at Mississippi State. Twenty of his career-high 28 points came in the second half, including 15 in the final 12:28. He drew a team-high seven fouls and went 8-of-11 from the charity stripe.

SEC Freshman of the Week – Florida guard Scottie Lewis, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound freshman from Hazlet, N.J., had 15 points and 10 rebounds and three blocks in a win against Alabama. Lewis posted the first double-double of his career to help the Gators pull off the largest come back in more than 25 years (21-point deficit). The 15 points ties his career high, and 10 rebounds is a new career high.
