WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TURNS ATTENTION ON TECH THURSDAY EVENING

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Morehead State Women’s Basketball team is set to take on Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee Tech on Thursday evening at the Eblen Center at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The Eagles enter the matchup with an overall record of 7-11 and a 3-3 mark in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Golden Eagles host sporting an overall record of 14-3 and an OVC-leading 6-0 tally in conference play.

LALA LAND 2.0 – THE WINDY CITY REBOOT 
Senior forward and Chicago native Orlandra “Lala” Humphries has recorded three-straight double-doubles and is the first MSU hooper to achieve the feat since fellow Windy City window wiper Tierra McGowan (2017-19) did so during the 2017-18 season.

JAZZ ON CENTER STAGE IN MUSIC CITY, USA 
Junior guard Jazzmyn Elston was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s Newcomer of the Week on Tuesday after averaging 15 points during the Eagles two-game road trip to the Music City. The hooper torched the TSU Lady Tigers for 12 points in a win before breaking out for a game-high 18 points in a nail-biting loss at Belmont.

THANKFUL FOR THURSDAY 
During OVC play Morehead State is 3-0 in its Thursday games, earing wins over Jacksonville State, SIUE, and Tennessee State. The Eagles will look to keep that streak alive and avenge a 75-55 Tennessee Tech Saturday defeat on Jan. 4 in Morehead
