SEC Basketball Players of the Week (2/3/20)

SEC co-Players of the Week – Arkansas guard Mason Jones and Mississippi State forward Reggie Perry were named co-Players of the Week. Jones, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound junior from DeSoto, Texas, averaged 32 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals against South Carolina and Alabama. He had 34 points and a career-high 12 rebounds against South Carolina and followed that with 30 points at Alabama. Perry, a 6-foot-10, 250-pound sophomore from Thomasville, Ga., averaged 25.5 points and 10 rebounds in wins at Florida and against Tennessee. He poured in a career-high 27

SEC Freshman of the Week – Georgia guard Anthony Edwards, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound freshman from Atlanta, Ga., averaged 26 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, two steals and a block against Missouri and Texas A&M. He became the first Georgia freshman to notch consecutive double-doubles since Jumaine Jones did so during the 1997-98 season.
