The Wildcats welcomed back Tony Barbee to Rupp Arena and his Central Michigan Chippewas on Monday. The Cats started out quickly taking a 16-5 lead at the first time out and never looked back. Pregame reports were that up to four UK players might not play but the only player that ended up not playing was Davion Mints.

Dontaie Allen had his second straight game with over 18 minutes of playing time. Showing excellent improvement in playing defense and rebounding. Improving play in those areas should result in him being part of Coach Calipari’s regular rotation of players going forward.

Another bright spot was the play of Oscar Tshiebwe with twenty points and sixteen rebounds for another double-double for the West Virginia transfer.

The team as a whole played really well shooting 43%from the field and 27% from the three-point line.Kentucky also out rebounded Central Michigan by seventeen.

Overall, it was a great game for the Wildcats. Next up for the Cats will be against Southern University on Tuesday December 7Th at 7:00 PM in Rupp Arena.
