SEC Basketball Players of the Week (11/15/21)


SEC Player of the Week – Florida forward Colin Castleton, a 6-foot-11, 240-pound senior from Deland, Fla., averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.0 blocks while committing just two total turnovers in wins over Elon and No. 20 Florida State. His 15-point, 16-rebound, six-block day vs. Florida State marked UF’s fifth double-double with five blocked shots since 1996.  His 16 boards vs. FSU were a personal best, and he matched his career high with four assists in the season-opening win vs. Elon.

SEC Freshman of the Week – Tennessee’s Kennedy Chandler, a 6-foot, 171-pound freshman from Memphis, Tenn., averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in wins over UT Martin and ETSU. He shot 68.4 percent (13-of-19) from the field and made 85.7 percent (6-of-7) of his 3-pointers in the two games.
