MOREHEAD, Ky. – Julian Norris, a three-star recruit from Evansville, Ind., has signed a National Letter of Intent to become a member of the Morehead State Men’s Basketball program.

Norris played his final high school season at Link Academy in Branson, Mo. – for head coach Rodney Perry – after formerly being a standout at Evansville’s Bosse High School.

“Julian is a dynamic guard who we have been recruiting for a long time, and we are thrilled to welcome him into our program,” said head coach Preston Spradlin. “His ability to score the ball all over the court along with his ability to defend at a high level make him a great fit. He is a fierce competitor who understands what it takes to challenge himself to get better each day. Playing his final prep season at Link allowed him to play alongside and against some of the best young players in the country and condition himself for the challenges of playing in the OVC.”

Norris is a 6-3 guard who averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 and 4.0 assists at Bosse as a junior. As a sophomore he hit 48 percent from three-point range. He was named First-Team Al-SIAC. Norris was named Underclassmen All-State as well. He also once earned IBCA Player of the Week for averaging 25.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists.

He also played on the Under Armour Circuit for C2K Elite, where he averaged 18 points per outing for head coach Quincy Simpson.

Norris is the son of Derricka Dowell and Julian Norris, Sr., of Evansville and also has three siblings.
