SEC MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

SEC Player of the Week –Auburn forward/center Johni Broome, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound junior from Plant City, Fla., averaged 15.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.0 blocks in wins over Vanderbilt and at Ole Miss. He recorded his 55th career double-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots versus the Commodores. Broome followed that performance up with 15 points, nine rebounds, a career-high seven assists and three blocks to hand the Rebels their first home loss of the season. He is currently on a 13-game double-digit scoring streak which includes five double-double performances.

SEC Freshman of the Week – Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham, a 6-foot-3, 176-pound freshman from Hickory, N.C., averaged 27.5 points, four assists and 2.5 rebounds against Florida and No. 5 Tennessee. He opened the week with 20 points, four assists and four rebounds against the Gators. He then scored a career-high 35 points on 14-of-20 (.700) shooting from the field and 6-of-8 (.750) shooting from 3-point range.
