Kentucky Wrap UpĀ

Unfortunately the Wildcats were not able to capitalize on the great play that helped them capture a win against LSU on January 23rd.  The following game was against Alabama in Tuscaloosa.  The Cats played a great game until the last four minutes when all went wrong. Alabama is noted for being a great three point shooting team, but Kentucky was able to hold them to 6 of 20 for the game. The Cats were ahead at the last media timeout 54-52- that is when things went down hill resulting in a loss for Kentucky 70-59.

The next scheduled game for the Wildcats was January 30th in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge against Texas. The game was cancelled on Friday the 29th due to  Covid concerns in the Kentucky camp.

Next up for Kentucky was against Missouri on Wednesday February 3rd. The Wildcats did not play well in the first half struggling to an eleven point halftime deficit. The second half was a different story at least for the first 16 minutes. The team came out after the half and cut the Missouri lead to two points but were never able to take the lead due to fouls and turnovers. Again during the last four minutes of the game Kentucky tried but missed shots, bad decisions, and turnovers again plagued them which lead to a loss to Missouri 75-70.

The next game for Kentucky is against Tennessee on Saturday February 6th at Rupp Arena.
