MOREHEAD, Ky. –– Morehead State grad transfer Tray Hollowell has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week.
Hollowell, a 6-3, transfer from Wofford, led the Eagles to an 80-52 win at IUPUI by hitting four three-pointers and scoring 17 points.He also added three assists and three rebounds in 30 minutes of action.
From Hopkinsville, Ky., Hollowell ranks second on the team with 12.0 points per game, and he is the Eagles’ leading three-point shooter at 41 percent with 39 treys made. He has 10 double-figure scoring outputs in 13 games.
The Eagles (8-5) open OVC play Wednesday night at 7 p.m. ET versus Eastern Illinois.
